12 Year Old Jessica Maple Solves Burglary Case Before Detectives!
We have a 12-year-old Sherlock Holmes in our hands!
When someone broke into her great-grandmother’s house and every one stood by scratching their heads, 12-year-old Jessica Maple decided that she had to do something! In this case, the little girl pretty much solved the case.
When the burglary occurred, Jessica just finished attending a summer program that teaches children the art of crime-solving. Lucky for her family, it seems that Jessica put her skills to good use.
When the cops were unsure how the intruders got in the house, Jessica found traces of broken glass and dark fingerprints next to the garage door. And when officers had no idea how to find the burglar, Jessica went to a nearby pawn shop, found some of her grandmother’s things, and was able to get a copy of the suspect’s ID. And to top it all off, when some rookies would have hesitated, Jessica and her mom drove to the suspect’s house and forced out a confession. What a champ!
Jessica recounted the officer’s reaction when she called up with the evidence. “Like, oh my gosh, how’d she find that?” she tells AJC 2
Unfortunately, after over a month, the police have not yet arrested the suspect. “ I don’t know what’s taking them so long,” Jessica says impatiently.
Wow, we agree, Jessica! With the amount of work you’ve done on their behalf, you’d think that they would at least do some work and arrest the guy!
