2-year-old’s Tantrum Gets Family Kicked Off Plane
We’ve all seen or experienced it before: a baby or toddler screaming and throwing a fit as soon as they get on the plane. It’s not groundbreaking, at least until last month…when one giant tantrum caused an entire family to get kicked off a Jetblue flight.
Colette Vieau, along with her husband and two girls were about to take off from Turks and Caicos when their 2-year-oldĀ Natalie became inconsolable. In order to make her sit still, Natalie had to be held in place by her parents, all while dealing with their 3-year-old Cecilia as well.
Despite getting both girls seated with their seatbelts fastened, JetBlue’s captain ordered them off the plane. And with no other flights to Boston, the family paid $2,000 for hotel stay, along with flight rebooking fees.
“We did what we were asked to do.” Vieau explained, “We weren’t belligerent, drunk, angry or screaming. We were just having a hard time struggling with our children.”
