6 Year Old Spelling Bee Champ Out-Spells Reporter
A 6-year-old girl accepted a spelling bee challenge against a seasoned FOX 5 reporter. Unfortunately, reporter Paul Raphel didn’t realize what he was in for.
Lori Anne Madison just became the youngest student to qualify for the Scripps-Howard National Spelling Bee. The amazing little girl beat out over 20 elementary and middle school kids to become qualified for the national contest.
So fast forward to the challenge. Lori Anne was asked to spell “okapi” which she did flawlessly. Raphel, on the other hand, was given the word “tourniquet.”
“T-e-r-n-i-c-h-e-,” he spells.
