New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire and wife Alexis are expecting their fourth baby together!

“We’re blessed that we were able to extend our family,” Stoudemire tells PEOPLE. “We’re both huge on having a nice size family. It was something we’ve been talking about for a while. It happened naturally and at the right time so it all worked out.”

So how is the NBA star as a father? “As soon as Amar’e walks into the door those kids are all over him,” Alexis shared. “He’s like a big kid. He’s a great dad.”

This is the fourth child for the couple who were recently married on their NYC apartment roof deck on 12/12/12, together with family and close friends. The baby will join siblings Ar’e, 7, Amar’e Jr., 6, and Assata, 4.
