Aurora shooting victim Caleb Medley remains in critical condition as his wife gives birth to the couple’s first child.

Caleb and Katie Medley went to the midnight screening of the Dark Knight Rises as a final date before their new baby arrived. Unfortunately, a shooting occurred at that same theater, leaving 12 dead and 58 others injured.

The Tuesday after the shooting, Katie  welcomed a baby boy, Hugo Jackson Medley at University of Colorado Hospital while her husband lay in the ICU of the same hospital, recovering from a gunshot wound to the eye.

Unfortunately, Caleb is uninsured and his medical bill is creeping up towards the millions.  The couple has been starting to collect donations. So far, they have raised almost $86,000.

“She is going to be hurting and damaged for a long time,” Katie’s dad, David Sanchez said. “She needs to take care of her husband and everybody needs to pray for them.”
