Bored of your forehead? Move over, Botox. Welcome to the new trending beauty treatment, Bagel Head!

In last week’s “National Geographic Taboo”, the episode revealed a new body modification treatment that’s gaining some traction in Tokyo. To get your bagel-shaped head, saline is slowly inserted in your forehead and once filled, a thumb is placed in the middle of the circular shape to create the “bagel”.

So why a bagel? “People who like extreme body modification want to find their own way of doing things, and they’re always looking for new ways to do that,” Japanese artist Keroppy explained.”The more progressive the scene gets, the more these people have to experiment and go their own way.”

Fortunately for people who are worried about buyer’s remorse, the shape lasts only for 16 hours, as the saline is absorbed by your body.
