Brooklyn Decker: “I Want to Adopt a Baby with Intellectual Disabilities”

April 30, 2012 - By Anna Karina

There’s more to this model than meets the eye.

25-year-old Brooklyn Decker, married to tennis star Andy Roddick wants to adopt a baby with disabilities. And her inspiration? Her aunt is a Special Olympics athlete.

“I want to adopt a baby with an intellectual disability one day. I mean, that’s in the distant future, but that’s always been a goal of mine,” she tells Flaunt magazine. “Unfortunately a lot of kids with intellectual disabilities are given up for adoption when they’re born because it’s a lot for their family.”

Since getting married in 2009, the actress/model has expressed interest in starting a family. “I want to live a normal life – drive my kids to school, have tons of animals running around, be barefoot and pregnant,” she told Women’s Health in 2010.

We can’t wait to see a mini-Brooklyn Decker in the near future!

To find out more about Brooklyn, check out her ESPN interview.
