Talk about a crazy gift and an equally crazy fan.

A Dolly Parton fan has decided to give away her baby to the singer. “We came home one day and there was a baby in a box at our gate with a note in it.” Parton recounts to Windy City Times, “The note said ‘My name is Jolene, my momma has left me here and she wants you to have me’. Of course, we all freaked out!”

Did Dolly end up keeping the little gift? “We immediately called Human Services and took care of the baby until they got there. We never did know or hear anything about it.”

When the song “Jolene” was released a few years ago, Parton started getting a lot of fanatical fans, but none had ever gone to this extent before.

“There are some loony people in this world!” were her parting words.
