Egyptian Couple Stuffs and Smuggles Baby on Carry-On Bag
An Egyptian couple were stopped by airport officials after they discovered the parents stuffed their newborn baby in their carry-on bag.
The wife and their newborn son arrived at the Sharjah International Airport on Saturday morning but couldn’t enter the UAE because their little boy didn’t have a visa. The family was advised that they would have to wait for a day until the visa can be processed.
Unfortunately, the parents were not that patient. Instead of waiting for a day, they zipped their newborn baby into their carry-on bag and tried to sneak him through security.
As soon as the bag went through the x-ray machine, a custom official spotted the baby in the bag. “This machine is very dangerous for anyone, let alone a baby in a bag to pass through,” the official later said.
The parents were arrested and charged with child endangerment and infiltration.
