A father beat another man to death after catching him molesting his 4-year-old daughter.

During a gathering in the family home in Shiner, Texas, the little girl went inside the house while the rest of the family were chatting and tending to the horses outside.

The father then walked in the house, just in time to see one of their acquaintances in the midst of sexually molesting his daughter. In a fit of rage, the father started beating the 47-year-old man in the head.

The alleged molester died from the beating. The unnamed father and daughter are OK, although the little girl suffered from some residual mental trauma.

While angry, the father was remorseful and explained that he didn’t intend to kill the abuser.

The sheriff’s office will not file charges against the father, but will defer to a grand jury.

“You have a right to defend your daughter,” Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon explained. “He acted in defense of his third person. Once the investigation is completed we will submit it to the district attorney who then submits it to the grand jury, who will decide if they will indict him.”
