Fulfilling a Dying Man’s Wish: A $500 Tip for Pizza (Video)
Aaron Collins died without being able to fulfill his dying wish: To have pizza and leave a $500 tip. After he passed away, his family decided to make it happen for him.
Collins, a 30-year-old computer technician died on July 7. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough money to complete his final wish. Luckily for him, his family raised the cash through online donations, went to Puccini’s restaurant for pizza, and gave the lucky server $500.
“We think he just wanted to provide a random act of kindness and generosity for someone he thought was under appreciated; the kind of thing that would make a lasting impact they would never forget,” Aaron’s brother Seth wrote.
The family is still accepting donations and is planning to give away more tips.”We have already received over $500 more, so we will be doing this again soon. Hopefully we can continue changing the lives of random waiters and waitresses for years,” they wrote.
