A 9-year-old’s fort is the subject of an eviction notice from a homeowners association in Texas.

The Summerwood Homeowners Association sent Ramona Aarsvold a letter telling her to take down her son’s small “fort”.  The small homemade structure made from sticks and firewood supposedly violates the association’s “architecture rules”.

Unfortunately for them, the Aarsvolds (and their fort) are not going down easily.

“That would be the wrong thing to do,” the angry mom said. “I don’t want to punish Nicholas’ creativity or squelch his spirit. I will talk to my son because I want to stick with him. I think he’s learned a lesson to stand up for something when people are being unreasonable.”
