Jessica Simpson and her fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday, May 1.

“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson,” Simpson wrote on her blog. “We are grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!”

With Simpson’s eye-popping baby bump, it wasn’t a surprise that little Maxwell came in at 9 lbs. 13 oz. and 21¾ inches long.

The baby’s name comes from Johnson’s middle name (Maxwell) and Simpson’s mother’s middle name (Drew).

This is the first baby for the couple. I can’t wait to see photos!
