I read that headline a few times thinking it was about a song, parody, or even a joke. I was wrong on all accounts.

The pregnant singer was indeed involved in a car accident in Texas early yesterday morning. A fire truck hit the passenger side of singer’s car. Fortunately, Jewel’s representative reassured People Magazine, “The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine.” (For people who have been living under a rock, Jewel is expecting a boy with her husband Ty Murray, a nine-time world champion pro rodeo cowboy.)

That was a close call, Jewel. We hope the next time we hear “Fire Truck” and “Jewel” in a sentence, it’ll be about a new toy for your baby boy.
