With the influx of recent and disturbing news surrounding cannibalism, John McCain wanted in on the action, revealing that his daughter thinks he’s a zombie.

The government has released a statement assuring the panic-stricken public that there is no disease that is driving cannibalism, or more specifically, zombies.

Meghan McCain, McCain’s daughter recently tweeted, “Just saying, it’s not like the CDC or the government would make an announcement to the country if a zombie apocalypse was in fact happening.”

“She does, in fact think I’m a zombie,” Senator McCain also quipped in an interview. “But she thinks I’m a nice zombie.”

So are zombies really roaming the earth now? “I think that is a subject for extensive debate on the floor of the Senate,” McCain said. “Maybe it would be a more productive debate than most of those we’ve been having.”
