Convicted Killer Joran Van der Sloot Impregnates Woman While in Prison
Joran Van der Sloot, who is currently serving a 28-year-sentence for murder in Peru has now impregnated a Peruvian woman.
According to De Telegraaf newspaper, Van der Sloot’s lawyer Maximo Altes announced the baby news with Leidy Figueroa Uceda who was “registered as a conjugal visitor of Joran” in the Pidras Gordas prison in Lima. During the unsupervised visit, Uceda got pregnant with Van der Sloot’s child, and is now on her third month.
Van der Sloot also confirmed the news to the paper, adding that Uceda forgot to take her birth control pills and refused to have an abortion, due to her Catholicism.
Van der Sloot was convicted for the murder of Stephany Flores in 2010. He is also wanted for the murder and disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005.
With Peruvian nationality, he could resist extradition to the United States where he is still wanted for the Holloway case. This nationality would be possible if he becomes a father to a Peruvian baby.
