Jours Apres Lunes, French Lingerie Line for Four Year Olds
A few weeks ago, we heard about the controversial 10 year old French model, Thylane Loubry Blondeau and now, the latest buzz also comes from France. The new hot trend? A lingerie line for kids as young as four years old.
Jours Apres Lunes is a designer brand that’s dedicated to lingerie for the kids and teenagers. The new line of loungewear features more adult-like lingerie for 4-12 year olds.
I guess there was a reason why Veronika Loubry (Thylane’s mother) thought people were overreacting to her daughter’s photos.
I think that the Thylane controversy could be argued both ways, but in this scenario, the context and actual product seems to be pushing the boundaries a bit too far, no matter your social/cultural standard. It reminds me of the highly inappropriate Urban Outfitters shirt with 15-year-old model, Hailey Clauson. With younger children getting thrown in the spotlight, does society need to step in or does each parent just need to exercise their discretion and judgment in these matters?
