Man Caught on Tape Mocking Disabled 10-Year-Old
10-year-old Hope Holcomb suffers from cerebral palsy and is pleading with her neighbors to stop mocking her and her disease.
In a surprising scene that Hope’s grandmother caught on video, William Bailey and his 9-year-old son appear to be imitating Hope’s limp behind her back.
However, Bailey is insisting that he wasn’t teasing the girl, and instead, he was injured at his job. “I love that little girl,” Bailey tells CantonRep.com. “I never even meant that or anything at all toward little Hope. I don’t make fun of anybody with a disability.”
This isn’t the first time Hope complained of the bullying, as she has told her parents multiple times that Bailey’s son has been making fun of her on the school bus since last year. When they caught the dad doing the same thing, that was the last straw for the family.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Hope’s mom Tricia Knight said angrily. “I’m saying to him, ‘Are you serious? My daughter is seeing you.’”
Interestingly enough, both families have been engaged in a back and forth feud that has led to a lot of recent police visits. In fact, William Bailey is attacking back and telling reporters that the Knights have been making fun of his son who has seizures and ADHD.
Calling all grownups, please.
