Allison Niemeyer, 19, and her sister Laura, 20, are now behind bars after they were caught shoplifting in a Walmart store in Ocala, Florida. After security tried to stop the women, they bolted out and left Niemeyer’s one-year-old baby in the shopping cart.

Neither sister came back for the child.

Police later arrested the sisters two days later after they were caught dancing in a nightclub.

They are charged with child neglect and shoplifting. Niemeyer was also charged for violating her probation; the mom has been convicted for three prior thefts, grand theft, as well as forgery.

The baby is now under state custody.
