‘Mrs. Justin Bieber’, Avalanna Routh Dies of Cancer at Age 6

September 27, 2012 - By Susan Lim

Avalanna Routh who most of us know as ‘Mrs. Bieber‘ for her love of the pop star, has now passed away from brain cancer.

“Our darling Avalanna went to Heaven this morning. Oh Avalanna, the brightest star – you took our hearts with you, our greatest Love,” her parents wrote on her Twitter account.

On February 13, 2012, Justin Bieber surprised 6-year-old Avalanna Routh with a Valentine’s Day date of her dreams. The singer got wind of Avalanna through a Facebook page that encouraged the sick toddler to meet her greatest love, Justin Bieber. The page received over 12,000 Likes.

After the wonderful day with her “husband” that left Avalanna ecstatic, Bieber shared to his fans, “That was one of the best things I have ever done. she was AWESOME. Feeling really inspired right now! #MrsBieber.”

Routh suffered from a rare form of brain cancer called AT/RT. She has been fighting the cancer for over 5 1/2 years, but she sadly passed away last Wednesday from complications.

When Bieber found out about the news, he sent a message to his fans via Twitter, “Just got the worst news ever. one of the greatest spirits i have ever known is gone. please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna. i love you.”
