Name the City with the Most Spoiled Kids
While some of you are thinking Beverly Hills, think again!
According to Bundle.com’s study on which city have parents who spend the most on their kids, Manhattan takes the top prize. In fact, New York takes two of the top spots as Brooklyn comes in a close second.
To rank the cities, the website compared overall 3-year spending by household on kid’s items (e.g, food, clothing, education). While the sushi-fed, prep-school-raised Manhattanites are in the top range, most midwestern cities are at the lower-end of the spectrum. The biggest outlier of it all seems to be Minneapolis which came in at 4th place.
On the list with the least number of spoiled children, Madison, Wisconsin stands out, especially with the community’s exemplary record — high literacy rates, low crime rates, and environmentally sound. If you live in a city like Madison, “all you need is a ball and a yard to enjoy childhood,” the site concludes.
