Octomom Accused of Child Neglect, Fights Back
After Social Services launched a child neglect investigation for infamous Octomom, Nadya Suleman, the mother of 14 now claims that she was “set up.”
The investigation started after Suleman’s hairdresser went to her home and took pictures of the squalid conditions that the children were living in. She also claimed that Suleman locks her children in a room and jams it with a propped chair.
“We were set up,” Suleman told Good Morning America. “I think maybe me and my kids were set up.”
“I didn’t want the kids to go in there at the time and one of my older kids jammed the chair up there so they wouldn’t keep opening and closing the door,” Suleman explained the photo of the jammed door.
Suleman’s hairdresser also told TMZ that the mom spent $520 on a Brazilian blow-out and haircut for herself, all while receiving welfare checks from the government.
Suleman fights that claim and explained that she spent $520 total on 15 haircuts for herself.
“It’s almost over. This is our last month on help,” she also added, referring to the government assistance she’s been receiving. “I am making money…I have jobs.” (Is she referring to her semi-nude magazine shoot?)
“I hate ‘Octomom,’” she explained angrily. “I wanna’ take a freaking sledgehammer and crack her in half. That is some freak that they created in the media. I need it to be done.”
Child welfare officials visited the home and didn’t find anything unusual, so no action was taken against the mom.
