Peaches Geldof has gotten some public backlash after pictures surfaced of her dropping her baby boy, but nonchalantly going back to her phone call.

The Brit model and her husband Thomas Cohen welcomed baby Astala last April. Geldof was photographed the other day distractedly chatting on her cellphone while pushing her son in a stroller.

Unfortunately, as the stroller hit a bump and the baby tumbled onto the sidewalk, the young mom proceeded to talk on her phone while she haphazardly picked up the baby.

Following the photos and the media outrage, the mom tweeted a response back.

“Im not going to let bitter tabloid scum marr the memories of [my wedding day] by trying to ruin the days after it with rude stories about my mothering ability because London’s roads are so crappy and dangerous,” she angrily said. “My baby was and is fine, but I guess because I seem to be one of the only ‘celebrities’ who actually pushes their own baby in his pram instead of a nanny or assistant (I have neither) doing so, I deserve scorn if the pra, tumbles over a massive hole in the pavement. Yawn. Grow up.”

She also blamed London streets for her son’s fall, adding, “Was just walking with Astala in his pram and there was a massive hole in the pavement I didn’t see as was pushing the pram and the pram fell into it and toppled over! Thankfully Astala didn’t fall out as was strapped in and so didnt get hurt at all or cry. But still the London pavements are SO dangerous!”

Unfortunately, there are some critics who feel that the mom does not deserve a point for competence.

“She is a complete idiot. I’d like to give her a piece of my mind!” Jack Osbourne tweeted.
