Possible Criminal Charges for Pippa Middleton After Gun-Toting Stunt
Pippa Middleton, Prince William’s sister-in-law and Kate’s sister could face criminal charges after her friend allegedly pointed a gun at a photographer who was following them.
Middleton was in a convertible with three friends last Sunday when the driver reached for a semi-automatic (real or fake) and pointed it at the paparazzi.
The Paris police department is launching an investigation into the incident. If the gun is real, prison sentences of up to 7 years could be issued for all people in the car (2 years if the gun in fake).
“If the evidence points to her involvement, she will be prosecuted. Anybody involved in the illegal use of a handgun in public is liable to arrest and interrogation,” a source said.
Middleton was in Paris to attend a birthday party at the Chez Raspoutine as a guest of Arthur de Soultrait. “Pippa is a party girl. She mixes now in very high society and they don’t come very higher than this group of French aristocratic sons,” Sun’s editor, Duncan Larcombe said of the three men Middleton was with in the photo.
Buckingham Palace, does not represent Pippa and has not commented on the incident.
“I think often by what they’re not saying can often say more and I think there are some very nervous people behind the scenes right now,” Larcombe added.
It is unsure whether or not the photographer will press charges.
