A pregnant New York woman and mom-of-four was killed in her apartment a day before her wedding.

Vindalee Smith, 38, was found on the floor of her Brooklyn apartment last Saturday. The pregnant woman was stabbed multiple times in the neck and died from her wounds. Unfortunately, the unborn baby did not survive as well.

Police have ruled this a homicide and since there was no forced entry, they are looking at close family and friends for a possible suspect and motive.

“She was dedicated to her family,” said Andrew Connor, a deacon at the New Dimension Church which Smith attended. “She was beautiful and this is very surreal.”
