Puppies Save Lost Boy in the Woods
A 10-year-old boy with Down Syndrome was lost in the woods for over 18 hours. Luckily, he survived the night with the help of four puppies who huddled around him to keep him warm.
Kyle Camp from Alabama went missing Tuesday afternoon. About 150 community members and police officials searched for him all night, but it wasn’t until 9am the next day when they found a sign of the missing boy.
Following the lead of Camp’s family dog, searchers finally found Camp huddled with four puppies.
“I heard the dogs barking again and followed him down there and started hollering for the puppies and I hollered for him and he hollered back. He was in the creek about a half a mile over the ridge,” a volunteer, Jamie Swinney tells WBRC.
Camp reportedly followed the puppies into the woods and eventually got lost. When searchers finally found the boy the next morning, his clothes were cold and damp, leading officials to believe that the boy survived from the cold with the help of the pups.
