Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus and wife Allison are expecting baby # 2 this summer.

“This was definitely a huge surprise, but we’re so thankful and excited that Maddie is going to have a brother or sister,” Jay excitedly tells People Magazine. “We’re really gonna have our hands full!”

Allison also gushes, “Jay and I are thrilled about completing our family. Madeline is going to love having a sibling and we are bracing ourselves for the many sleepless nights ahead.”

The baby will join the couple’s first child and daughter, Madeline Leigh.
