Frankenmuth High School Principal JoLynn Clark is sending a clear message to her students: leggings are not pants.

“What we’re seeing a lot more of is the tights that people are passing off as pants, and they’re not pants,” she explained. “There’s no place for sexy at school.”

“The world is tough enough for young women without making it harder on ourselves. Really think about what message your clothes are sending,” she also added in a video message to the students.

Fortunately for the principal, her message seemed to be heard loud and clear. Since then, no student has been donning leggings as pants.
