As a tradition, the Aguirre family has been going to every home opener for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Unfortunately, they stopped going after Paul Aguirre started serving in Afghanistan.

Aguirre has finally returned home and wanted to surprise his kids,  6-year-old Jackson and 5-year-old Alanna. And what better way to do it than during a Diamondbacks game.

So on Monday night, Aguirre delivered a pre-game message to his kids on the jumbotron. And if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, after the video message, Jackson and Alanna were invited to throw out first pitches to the Diamondbacks catcher. Little did they know that the catcher was actually their dad.
