A Rocklin teen decided to mix some sleeping pills in her parents’ milkshakes in order to use the internet at home.

The teen and her friend secretly put some sleep-inducing medicine into her parents’ drinks after being denied internet access.

The unsuspecting parents drank a quarter of the shakes, despite later admitting that there was an odd taste. Within an hour, the parents passed out and didn’t come through until the following morning.

The girls were later arrested on charges of conspiracy and mixing drugs into food. The suspect later admitted to police that she was upset that her parents refused to allow her online access after 10 pm.

Both girls were booked into Placer County Juvenile Hall.
