Teen Hospitalized After 15-Year Addiction to Chicken Nuggets
Ever since she was two-years old, Stacey Irvine has refused to eat anything but Chicken Nuggets.
Yesterday, reality finally hit, as she collapsed to the floor and struggled to breathe. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with anemia and swollen veins in her tongue and started her on an immediate course of much-needed vitamins and nutrients.
And in the highly-awaited reality check of the decade, Stacey finally admitted, “I am starting to realise this is really bad for me.”
The addiction first started when her mom took a 2-year-old Stacey to McDonald’s. “I first tasted chicken nuggets when my mum took me to McDonald’s when I was two,” she recalls. “I loved them so much they were all I would eat.”
And after that, the rest is history. “I just couldn’t face even trying other foods. Mum gave up giving me anything else years ago.”
“McDonald’s chicken nuggets are my favourite. I share 20 with my boyfriend with chips,” she explains. “But I also like KFC and supermarket brands. My main meal is always chicken nuggets every day.”
Apart from chicken nuggets, the 19-year-old changes things around only when fries, CRISPS, and the occasional toast is available.
