14-year-old Joshua Smith from Detroit has been sentenced to 25-50 years in prison for killing his mother.

Following an argument, the teen grabbed his stepfather’s shotgun and entered his mom Tamiko Robinson’s bedroom. He then fatally shot a sleeping Robinson on February 27.

The teen confessed to the crime and simply stated that he was tired of being called names.

He was tried as an adult and charged with second-degree murder.
