Teen Wins $50,000 for Fastest Texting Thumbs
In a modern-day Olympic tournament, 17-year-old Austin Wierschke from Wisconsin has won first place as the “Fastest Texter in America”, two years in a row!
In only 39 seconds, Wierschke was able to accurately text a 149-character message.
The training for this new-age athlete? “Obviously I text a lot,” he revealed. “I text my friends, I text my family. As I’m riding passenger in the car, I text street signs as we’re driving by. I text anything with words or symbols on it.”
As part of his prize, the teen bags not only bragging rights, but also a whooping $50,000.
