Teens Caught After Posting House Party Burglary Photos on Facebook

October 3, 2012 - By Anna Karina

In a move that was even dumber than the crime, a group of teens have now been caught after they posted photos of their crime on Facebook.

A man believes a group of teens broke into his house while the family was out on vacation, and threw a party while they were at it.

How did he know about the crime? Facebook, of course!

The dad recently saw the pictures on Facebook and was shocked. “I’m looking at them like, ‘Wait, this is my house!’ They are running around doing lewd things with funnels, throwing up in the sink, passed out on the kitchen floor,” he recalled.

Interesting enough, the family would be unaware of the crime, if it hadn’t been for Facebook. “The kids came back the next day and cleaned everything up, I guess,” he added. “They even did the dishes. If someone hadn’t been bragging by posting on Facebook, no one ever would have known. They wouldn’t have been caught.”

The teens in the photos are his kids’ classmates, and the party allegedly happened when the entire family was away to NY last July (any guesses as to which kid wrote a Facebook status announcing that the entire family is going out of town?). To make things easier for the police, everyone was tagged in the photos.
