Last week, Thylane Loubry Blondeau took the internet by storm after her pictures appeared in the French Vogue. (pictures and commentary here). With the slew of angry protestors, staunch defenders, and obsessive fans, this little girl was thrown right in the public eye.

Veronika Loubry, Thylane’s mom has decided to respond to harsh criticism and create a pause to all of this. She speaks to a popular French blog about her feelings,  “I find a Petit Bateau commercial with a little 11 year old girls with hard nipples much more shocking. My daughter isn’t even naked, no need to blow this out of proportion!”.

Loubry also posted a message on Thylane’s Facebook page before completely shutting it down.

She wrote, ” Hey guys, I’m the mum of Thylane. Something [is] going wrong at the moment with Thylane and [a] bad person in [the] USA about pictures she made 8 months ago for Vogue. Thylane doesn’t know about the buzz and I want to protect her from the deepest of my heart. She’s so young, so we are going to close this account for a while. I know that all of you are good  people who like her so I send you a big kiss. Thanks”

The blog, Fuck Yeah Thylane Blondeau, targetted to her obsessed fans has been shut down recently as well.
