6-year-old Didier, dubbed “Turtle Boy” got his nickname after an incredible 11-pound mole surrounded his torso and made it appear like a turtle shell.

Doctors diagnosed Didier with congenital melanocytic nevus, a rare condition that was fortunately not malignant. However, with this disability, Didier had never attended school and is consistently ridiculed by his peers.

Luckily, doctors were able to finally remove Didier’s shell. Watch the incredible video below as Didier sees his body for the first time…and finally goes to his first day of school.
