Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer Welcome Baby Boy
CEO Marissa Mayer delivered a baby boy on September 30.
Her husband, investor Zachary Bogue announced the news early this morning. “Baby boy Bogue born last night,” he tweeted. “Mom (@marissamayer) and baby are doing great–we couldn’t be more excited!”
The couple have yet to name their baby. In fact, the new mom surprised everyone by emailing a few friends to ask for naming suggestions.
“She’s crowdsourcing suggestions for Baby Boy Bogue’s name!” tweeted NYU professor Jeff Jarvis. “How digital can you get?”
After leaving Google to join Yahoo as its new CEO last July, Mayer revealed the surprising news that she was pregnant with her first baby. To allay any corporate fears, Mayer also said that she is planning to work through her maternity leave.
A Yahoo representative confirmed that the CEO is indeed “working remotely and is planning to return to the office as soon as possible, likely in one to two weeks.”
In fact, a Business Insider source also adds that Mayer is planning to bring her baby to work with her. She may go as far as “knock[ing] down one wall of her office” to make room for Yahoo’s youngest addition.
