Youth Hockey Coach Arrested after Tripping Player Post-Game
A hockey coach from British Columbia has been arrested after tripping a 13-year-old during a post-game handshake.
Caught on video, the coach seems to intentionally trip the star of the opposing team after they had defeated the coach’s squad. The fallen teen was injured at the alleged attack, as he used his wrists to break his fall on the ice.
“The coach was arrested. Charges will be forwarded at a later date, pending the results of the investigation.” RCMP Sergeant Paulina Gidda explained. “It was an incident that was unfortunate, and it doesn’t bring a great light to our community.”
